Lacuna Loft…Connecting With Other Young Adult Cancer Survivors

Welcome to the last post of a series here on Lacuna Loft!  Over the last few weeks, we’ve been talking about different ways of connecting with other young adult cancer survivors.  Today we talk about Lacuna Loft!

Wow!  We are at Part 5 (and the last part) of this series!  To recap, so far we’ve talked about connecting with other young adults using instagram, twitterfacebookother great sites, and in person events.

The most important thing that this series has stressed is how to find your young-adult-cancer-having-tribe and how powerful of an experience connecting with them can be.  Social media and technology make that easier to do than ever.

Today we are talking about connecting with other young adult cancer survivors here, on Lacuna Loft.  Sharing stories of how we have been broken and how we are healing creates dynamic connections of compassion, vulnerability, and love.  Lacuna Loft seeks to break down barriers, drawing us all closer together, wherever we may be on our journey with young adult cancer as survivors or caregivers.  Whether you’re writing with Lacuna Loft or reading our daily articles…we want this to be a place where connecting with other young adult cancer survivors is made easy, accessible, and engaging.

We’ve said it before and we will continue to stress that connecting with other young adult cancer survivors is a very powerful experience.  Knowing that you aren’t alone is a big deal…being able to share your good times and bad times with those who truly understand adds that extra bit of control to an otherwise frightening and out of control experience.  Find your tribe!

How have you liked this series?  Did we miss any ways of connecting with other young adult cancer survivors?
